Scheduled Activities
The Pilgrims for Peace schedule is designed to start the pilgrimage
where the story begins, in Fatima, Portugal. The Sanctuary is the
first stop, which includes the
Basilica of Our Lady of the Holy
Rosary, the great Holm Oak Tree, the Capelinha (apparition site),
the
Monument to the Sacred  Heart of Jesus, the Chapel of
Perpetual Adoration, the Berlin Wall, Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel,
and the Candle Pyre to name a few sites within the Sanctuary.

Pilgrims for Peace pilgrimage groups register with the Sanctuary
and participate in daily  Masses and Rosaries in the Basilica and the
Capelinha. An effort is made to have at least two or three Masses in
the Capelinha celebrated by our Spiritual Director. Members of the
group participate as Altar Servers and Readers. Our pilgrims
actively participate in leading decades of the Rosary, both for our
group alone, and as participants in the Sanctuary’s International
Rosary scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, and evenings of the
12th and on the 13th of each month. Men in the Pilgrims For Peace
group are permitted to carry the statue of Our Lady of Fatima in
procession.
Included Activities on the Pilgrimage
Daily Mass
Private Masses for Pilgrims For Peace are celebrated in the Capelinha, the Basilica and in
Convents, Cathedrals and Chapels as we travel. The pilgrims actively participate in every
private Mass  with Altar Servers, Readers, and Singing. The group also participates in the
Sanctuary’s scheduled International Masses by having a reading in English.
Daily Rosary
Pilgrims For Peace Rosaries are scheduled in the Capelinha. Our pilgrims lead the decades of
the Rosary and our Spiritual Director recites a meditation before each mystery. Our group is
usually scheduled to lead the 4th mystery in English during the International Rosary.

Bishop Serafim; Father Edwin Gordon; Carlos Evaristo; and Armando and his wife, Fernanda.

Petitions
One of the activities of Pilgrims For Peace is to collect written petitions from family and
friends and anyone who wishes to send a petition to Our Lady of Fatima. These petitions are
placed in an  official Pilgrims For Peace tote bag, placed on every altar, and prayed for at each
and every Mass that we attend. At the end of the pilgrimage, these petitions are placed in the
pillar that supports Our Lady of Fatima’s statue.
