| Much has been written about the Message of Fatima. Books and editorials dating back as far as the early 1900's have brought forward the message and the story of Fatima. But not until 1935, after Jacinta’s body was found to be incorrupt, did Sister Lucia then, by order of her Bishop, begin to write her memoirs. She did this in the attic of her Dorothean Convent in Tuy, Spain. Although Our Lady’s message contains many parts, in all of these parts of the message, Our Lady gives us the tools to carry out the one main point that encompasses the entire message, which is a ‘CALL TO RETURN TO GOD’. Sister Lucia spoke of this to her nephew, Father Jose Valinho, a Salesian Priest, who visited her often and came with Our Lady’s message and with Sr. Lucia’s blessing, to the United States in 2001, at the request of Pilgrims For Peace, to tell us about this. From the beginning, Our Lady’s one constant request of the children was to PRAY THE ROSARY every day. She spoke of this in every one of her 6 apparitions. We know that Francisco did not see Our Lady until he began praying the rosary. It is the most powerful weapon for peace. Our Lady’s other requests were to make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. Jacinta would cry because she knew that sinners were going to hell and there was no one to pray for them. Our Lady told Lucia on a number of occasions that “God wishes to use you to establish in the world a devotion to My Immaculate Heart.”. The FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTION is about fulfilling the requirements of that devotion with “ONLY ONE INTENTION, TO MAKE REPARATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART....”. |
